Elm St. Pedestrian Improvements

Elm St. has been the location of several crashes involving pedestrians over the past several years. Tragically, a pedestrian was killed on Elm St. at Whittier St. this past spring. The town subsequently committed to making pedestrian infrastructure improvements along the Elm St. corridor, with plans to install curb extensions and rectangular flashing beacons at several crossings between Walnut Ave and Elm Ct.
